Visa held the first #SerbiaCashless Forum on October 25th, 2017 in Hotel Metropol Palace Belgrade. First event of its kind in South East Europe brought together government representatives, regulators, top industry experts, executives from banks, and an array of industries, especially in the payment and ICT business, finance and media who participated in 7 panel discussions around cashless topics.
Organized in partnership with the 17th Serbian Economic Summit of Serbia, Forum goal was to create an open dialogue on the importance and impact of cashless economy in Serbia and explore the role of innovations in extending and expanding the reach of the electronic payments and enable new experience for customers. #SerbiaCashless Forum mapped out Serbia’s rate of progress towards cashless economy, identified challenges of cashless economy and tried to highlight ways to turn them into greater opportunities for all parties involved.
The main theme of this year Serbian Economic Summit, that was held on October 23-24th , was „The Road Map to Improve Competitiveness.” During three days, 17th Economic Summit and #SerbiaCashless Forum hosted over 90 speakers at 25 panel discussions, and gathered about 600 guests from SEE and CEE.
